What is ePrivacy Regulation?
The ePrivacy Regulation (ePR) is a proposed set of regulations aimed at ensuring the protection of privacy in relation to electronic communications within the European Union. The ePR would replace the current ePrivacy Directive and would be considered a specialized law in addition to GDPR. It would provide more specific guidelines and complement the GDPR, focusing on areas such as maintaining the confidentiality of communications, providing user-friendly privacy controls through electronic consent and browsers, and managing cookies in a transparent manner.
