What is Data Subject Access Request?

A DSAR (Data Subject Access Request) is when a person requests to access the personal data an organization has collected from them. This is their right under the GDPR, which applies to any organization that collects and processes the personal data of people in the EU.

The GDPR states that individuals have the right to access their personal data collected by an organization. This means they can request information about what data is being collected, who it’s being shared with, and how long it will be stored. Organizations are responsible for providing a copy of this data in an electronic or any user-friendly format and cannot charge any fee for it.
