What is Do Not Track?

Do Not Track” (DNT) is a privacy setting in web browsers that lets users signal to websites that they do not want to be tracked. This feature gives users more control over their online privacy and allows them to opt out of third-party tracking. However, DNT is not a guarantee that a user’s online activity will not be tracked. While some websites may respect the request and stop tracking users, others may continue to collect and use user data for a variety of purposes such as improving security, providing content, services, ads, and recommendations, and generating reporting statistics.
